This is where these wonderful insects hang from trees by millions forming clusters of butterflies, starting its idle or hibernation state during the winter.
By March, butterflies begin to wake up and take flight back to the far north leaving the reserve, some will die on the long road but their descendants will complete the fabulous trip to Canada and the U.S.A.
When the autumn comes, a new generation of monarch butterflies undertakes their epic journey of thousands of km across North America to get back to the Reserve of the Monarch Butterfly in November, where the giant trees of Oyamel wait for their next hibernation and clausure of a wonderful cycle of nature.
